Where the mountain meets the hearth
The Amber Hearth is a love letter to the high valleys of Bhutan. We serve memory on a plate, warmth in every bowl, and the golden hour glow of a Himalayan evening.
The fire that lit a dream
It began in a small kitchen in Thimphu, where a young chef watched her grandmother stir a pot of ema datshi over a crackling wood fire. The scent of burning pine and melting cheese became the scent of home.
Years later, after training in some of the world's finest kitchens, she returned to those hills to build something different. A restaurant that honors the ritual of fire, the ceremony of sharing, and the quiet majesty of the Himalayas.
The Amber Hearth opened its doors with one belief: that the best meals are not just eaten, but felt.

What we stand for
Fire & Ritual
Every dish begins with flame. Our wood-fire pit is the soul of the kitchen, where ingredients transform into something elemental.
Rooted in Bhutan
We source from local farmers, forage wild herbs from the mountains, and honor traditional techniques passed down through generations.
The Golden Hour
Dinner at The Amber Hearth is a slow, intentional experience. We invite you to linger as the light fades and the fire glows.
